AI Ethics
Ethics and clear guidelines are crucial in today’s rapidly changing digital world and AI. As a woman in AI, I am involved in the ethical debate and strongly endorse universal AI regulations. These guidelines are crucial for ensuring that AI technology is fair, inclusive, and responsible as it becomes a part of our daily lives.
I aim to provide an easily understandable overview of AI ethics, policy and digital inclusion, focusing on promoting education, well-being and integrity. Good governance and research can guide AI towards positive outcomes that benefit most people, “the greatest happiness of the greatest number” (Bentham) while ensuring effective leadership in its development and deployment.
With my background in religion, counselling and philosophy, as well as my IEEE CertifAIEd™ Authorized Assessor credential, CAIDP AI Ethics and Policy certifications and current research with international organisations, I believe ethical frameworks can shape AI’s direction. I am interested in developing moral standards that support responsible and inclusive AI technology for society. As an IEEE Certified Authorized Assessor, I am committed to evaluating the ethics of AI systems. My expertise ensures that products, services and systems meet high ethical standards.
I am also interested in the ethical challenges of emerging technologies, particularly in the context of mental health. I actively evaluate the ethics of AI systems, including the rapid expansion of psychotherapy apps. These tools often lack sufficient regulation, and I am passionate about developing ethical frameworks to ensure they are inclusive, responsible, and beneficial to society.
AI developments must follow cultural and ethical guidelines, avoid discrimination, and protect marginalised populations. By actively engaging in debates and initiatives centred on the development of ethical AI, we can help create an equitable and sustainable future for all.
